Description
Record of deliquent taxes to be collected by the tax collector. Information includes taxpayer name, address, tax valuation and tax with note column for status of the collection including exonerations. A "Tax Collector's Warrant" or other document of authority to collect and initiate sale proceedings, as well as collecting procedures, is included in many of the duplicates.
Note 1: Transferred to Assessment from Treasurer. Note 2: Other duplicates probably lost in County Home fire.
Arrangement: Chronological and then alphabetical by municipality with each duplicate alphabetically divided by last name of tax payer.
Arrangement: Chronological by year and therein alphabetical by municipality. Individual municipal duplicates arranged alphabetically by tax payer name.
