Description
Registration of trade marks for flour mills required by an 1835 Pennsylvania law. Information includes name of mill, location, registration number, and in many cases a diagram of the brand. A few livestock identification markings are included.
Note 1: This Register is located in the back of the Slave and Slave Owner Register Volume 2(1780-1841). Entries are being treated as individual papers for the purposes of scanning.
Note 2: "Bolting" means the sifting of flour.
