Description
State Commissions for the Volunteer Police Officers of Cumberland County in accordance with P. L. July 18, 1917, Section 347. Information includes name of person commissioned and their residence, assisgned county (primarily Cumberland County), date of commission, assignment, and assigned commanding officer. Other documents for an individual may include oath of office, commission card, and revocation from service.
Note 1. Commissions parallel WWI (1917-1918) and WWII (1942-1946).
Arrangement: Numberical by administrative number (paralleling filing date of commissions). Note 1: Some commission cards and revocation forms have an additional number possibly assigned by the State.
