Description
                    Document signed by a public official to pay a certain amount of money if he/she does not carry out the duties and responsibilities of his/her office.  In addition to the Bonds (office) listed under the Recorder of Deeds, bonds were filed with other officies: Prothonotary , Commissioners (after 1929 all bonds), and Clerk of Courts (such as for Commissioners, County Auditor, Commissioner Clerk, Local Supervisors and Assessors, Deputy Surveyor, Constables, and Tax Collectors.
