Description
Record of dogs registered (possibly for breeding). Information includes dog owner's name and residence (usually), registration number, and description of dog. The description often includes dog's name, sex, age, height, length, weight, color, breed, value, marks, and registration date.
Note 1. Established by the Clerk of Courts responding to an 1878 law for dog license registration. In 1917 dog registration became the responsibility of the Treasurer.
Arrangement: Sequential by registration numbers 1-83 and corresponds with a chronological order of the registration dates.
Index: Alphabetical by surname of dog owner.
