Description
Original drafts/surveys by the Deputy Surveyor (County Surveyor) of land located in the county showing the date, plat outline with measurements of the compass courses in degrees and distances between tract corners, name of warrant applicant, acreage, location of land, and owners of surrounding land. Sometimes included are the surveyor's signature and the draft number. A final copy from these originals were sent to the colonial land authorities. The Surveyor did not have to keep his originals.
Note 1: Names of townships have been spelled as they were spelled on the document. If townships were not identified on the document, then (township unspecified) was written on the folder and the word “unspecified” appears in the inventory. When given names were abbreviated, the name was spelled in full as possible. Brackets indicate a name that was interpreted by the arranger.
Note 2: As only those found, many are missing, such as all the "N"s.
Note 3. Many surveys have been found on eBay and have been added, but often the downloaded image is poor and information lost.
Arrangement: Alphabetical order by last name of the person for whom the survey was conducted.
