Recorded copies of chattel and crop mortgages especially for those resulting from the Federal Emergency Crop Loan Act (1934 Feb 23) and Federal Emergency Crop and Feed Act (1937 Jan 29) under the Farm Credit Administration. Information includes date mortgage entered into; names and addresses of mortgagor and mortgagee; location and description of chattels(often very detailed regarding farming equipment, livestock, and crops); terms and condition of mortgage; aknowledgment; dates mortgage recorded and satisfied; and mortgage number. Arrangement: Chronological by date mortgage recorded/entered. In 1954, recording of Chattel Mortgages included in Financing Statements (Secured Transactions or "UCC"s) under the Uniform Commercial Code.
