Description
Deeds are copied from the originals into the Deed Books. ORIGINAL DEEDS WERE NOT KEPT BY THE RECORDER OF DEEDS. These few deeds, indentures, land agreements, and some related documents, were kept for unknown reasons. Information inlcudes names of parties (grantor and grantee); location and description of the property; price paid for the property; fees; official seals, signatures, and attestations; and date and time of recording. Some entries record the location in the Deed Books, as well as a filing number if present. Some of these documents could be related to Orphans' Courts estate matters, such as Writs of Partition.
Arrangement: Chronological by deed or filing date.
Index: None. See "Inventory" for list of holdings.
