Papers. Oaths taken by Cumberland County Commissioners. Information includes name of Commissioner, name of the officer (usually a Justice of the Peace) officiating the oath, date of the oath, and oath content (general oath or oaths regarding taxes, jury selection, enumerations, or land reappraisals). Some oath documents are only "certificates" that attest to the oath taken. A few appointments, resignations, and death information are also present, as well as bonds.
