Annual reports from company captains listing company militia members required by the 1849 PA Act No. 413. Information includes name of company with location of where formed, names of company members, their residence, and rank; year of report; dated affidavit of company captain with signatures of the captain and justice of the peace; and file date. The military units that these PA Volunteer companies were assigned to are often included in the report. Also present are a few payroll reports with number of days served by militia members and amount owed them, as well as one report listing members' occupations.
