Affidavits by county citizens whose names did not appear on the voter register but who claim the qualified to vote. Information includes name of applicant, date of affidavit, type of affidavit, and authorized signatures. Four types of numbered affidavits were possible as required by the 1874 PA Constitution Supplement No. 1 Section 10. No. 1: affidavit of a qualified voter confirming applicant's residence in a voting district; No. 2 affidavit of applicant claiming native born citizenship of the U.S.(includes birth place and date); No. 3 affidavit of applicant claiming naturalized citizenship; and No. 4 affidavit of applicant claiming age requirement to vote. Note 1: This small series was established in 1978 and assigned to the Clerk of Court.
Arrangement: Chronological by year and therein alphabetical by last name of applicant followed by affidavit number.
