THESE PAGES ARE THE SECOND HALF OF THE "SLAVE AND SLAVE OWNERS REGISTER 1779-1780.

Accounts comprised of six sections.

Section 1: 1779 Apr 16 - 1779 May 31. List of 661 names with municipality and dollar amounts. No explanation of purpose.

Section 2: ND. Payment accounts with name, deduction, Counterfit, and due. One entry refers to "Contenantal currancy called out of circulation".

Section 3: 1779 Aug 9-1779 Oct 7. Continuation of Section 1, but shows dollar column and other columns possibly for conversion of old currency ("Counterfeit") into Continental dollars. Not in numerical or alphabetical order. Number for each name corresponds with the number and name in Section 1. One entry each for 1783 and 1789 at the end.

Section 4: 1781 July 1 -1781 Aug 27. List of forty-four enlistees in the Continental Army. Information usually includes name of enlistee; Regiment (mostly PA 4th Regt., but also the 1st, 3rd, and some unidentified); date of enlistment; assignment in some cases (such as a fifer); age and height; birthplace; trade; hair and complexion color; health; and the name of the Lieutenant or Captain to whom the enlistment duplicate delivered.

Section 5: 1781 Mar 8-May 9. List of bounty payments to soldiers.

Section 6: List of names with municipality and title "Acct of Permits Granted".
