Description
Artificial series established from a variety of unarranged sets of documents that were scattered in various locations. Types of documents vary and may include bid notices (some with detailed specifications), proposals (some with detailed specifications), contracts, correspondence, etc. Information usually includes name of bridge, date of project from the document, name of contractor, bids, and bills.
Arrangement: Chronological by year and therein alphabetical by name of the bridge.
Note 1. Different projects for a bridge will be filed in different years.
Note 2. Some documents for the same bridge are grouped together although they may cover more than one year.
The year of the first document is used for arrangement.

Note 1. An informational sheet ("info 1" on the inventory) is a list of Cumberland County bridges and their codes as
assigned by the county. "C" code is for bridges over the Conodoquinet Creek and the "Y" code is for
bridges over the Yellow Breeches Creek.
