FINANCIAL STATEMENTS MUNICIPAL Series 1

Description

Annual audited financial reports of TOWNSHIP AND BOROUGH SUPERVISORS per a PA 1874 Act. Information includes date, name of civil division, assessed valuation of property, an itemized statement of receipts and expenditures, an account of taxes collected and deductions allowed, a statement of delinquent taxes, the date filed, and official seals and signatures (or names) of auditors. Many of the reports are in the form of newspaper publications. Some financial reports relate to audited reports for SCHOOL DISTRICTS (pre 1911 PA Law) from 1911 until 1913, BOND INDEBTEDNESS, POOR DISTRICTS from 1909 to 1930s, and BUSINESSES. Annual Financial Statements of non-insurance businesses, such as the Beetem Lumber & Manufacturing Co., are required by PA General Assembly Act passed 1895 June 26. Other information of interest are names of municipal officials, road information, and owned property by municipality. Note 1. Series also titled at various times: "Annual Township Reports", "Auditors' Statements of Boroughs & Townships", and "Auditors' Township Reports".
