Deeds are copied from the originals into the Deed Books. ORIGINAL DEEDS WERE NOT KEPT BY THE RECORDER OF DEEDS. These few deeds, and some related documents, were kept for unknown reasons. Information inlcudes names of parties (grantor and grantee); location and description of the property; price paid for the property; fees; official seals, signatures, and attestations; and date and time of recording. Except for the 1836 deed, the recorded location in the Deed Books is present as well as a filing number on later deeds.
Arrangement: Chronological by filing date (or deed date if filing date not present).
Index: None. See "Inventory" for list of holdings.
